Qantas will operate the world's longest commercial flight between Sydney and London at 9,188 nautical miles using the Airbus A350-1000ULR, an aircraft specifically designed and modified with extra fuel capacity to achieve this unprecedented range. The A350-1000ULR is the only aircraft currently capable of this route nonstop, as Boeing's 787 and 777X lack the necessary range capabilities. Qantas's A350-1000ULRs will carry only 238 passengers in four-class configuration, a significant reduction from the standard A350-1000's 350-410 seats, due to the weight constraints imposed by the additional fuel required for the over 20-hour journey.
