Balancing a job to pay for “pay as you go” flight school

Can anyone please explain if it is difficult to balance a job that pays for “pay as you go” flight school while taking the classes. I know it’s hard but I want to know if that’s an option right out of high school. Anyone have any experiences, suggestions,
